Attack Planner guide
Plan an attack, step by step
Start with a village screenshot, place your army, map the attack, and share a plan your clan can review together.
Start a new planStart with a screenshot
Choose New plan, upload a clear screenshot showing the whole village, and optionally name the plan. The image is the background for your placements and notes, so use the same view your clan will discuss.
In an existing plan, use New to start another plan or Duplicate plan to try a different strategy without changing the original. Recheck placements and grid alignment after replacing a screenshot.
Place troops and draw the plan
- Choose a troop, spell, hero, siege machine, or other item from the deployment bar, then click or tap the village to place it. On touch screens, select the item first, then tap the map.
- Choose a drawing tool to mark entry points, directions, and movement paths. Press Enter to finish a movement path; use Backspace to remove its last point.
- Switch to Select, then drag an item to move it. Select an item to adjust the available settings, such as count, size, range, or style. Click an empty part of the map to clear the selection.
- Use Undo and Redo to step through recent edits. Ranges toggles range outlines.
Grid alignment and Snap
You can plan without calibrating the grid. Placement starts in normal mode, where items move freely; range outlines use an estimate and may be less exact. Align the grid when you want accurate tile measurements or grid snapping.
- Open View and choose Set grid (or Edit grid to adjust an existing alignment).
- Drag the four corner handles to match the village edges. Auto-fit can provide an experimental starting estimate; inspect and adjust the corners yourself.
- Choose Save grid in the View menu to finish. Placement pauses during calibration, while canvas pan and zoom remain available.
Calibration and Snap are separate: alignment makes snapping available, while Snap controls whether supported items follow tile positions. Show grid only toggles the visible lines, so you can hide them while snapping or show them while placing freely.
Save and recover your work
Editable plans save changes automatically. The Save control shows when changes are saving and when they have reached the server. You can also choose Save to send the current edits immediately.
- Offline: edits cannot reach the server yet. Keep the plan open and reconnect so it can sync.
- Save failed: reconnect, then use Retry if it is offered.
- Conflict: Save local copy keeps your edits in a separate plan. Load server version replaces the local edits; save a local copy first if you want both.
